They can say what they want about us, but one thing is indisputable - as citizens of the Cedar Valley, we know what we like.

In Pulse's Best of 2004 survey, not many winners eked by in their respective categories. Landslides were common. Only one first-place tie marred the decisive battleground - between the country superstar concerts of Kenny Chesney and Alan Jackson.

Sports is apparently the most popular entertainment venue, with the most people putting in their two cents-worth about the most memorable sports moment of the past year.

The highest winning percentage - 67 percent - went to "Shrek 2" in the best soundtrack category, beating second place "Ray!" by a whopping 55 percent.

The Cedar Valley continues to be a fantastic venue for live bands, and it seems there's so much entertainment out there that no one can pick just one winner. Forty-seven percent of you opted not to choose one of our best band or musician options and went out on a limb - faves included Safie (9 percent of the overall vote) and Major Healey (6 percent of the overall vote). Still, Bryan Bergmann came out with the most overall votes, carrying 19 percent of the total.

Check out the full list of winners below, and let us know what you think of the results. If you don't like the outcome, you can always vote next year.
