VALLEJO, Calif. - Freshman Blair Bonner tied for 25th individuall and the University of Northern Iowa women's golf team placed 10th in the final team standings Monday at the 2009 Hiddenbrooke Invitational.
The Panthers had to play the final round with only four golfers after seeing Sabrina Danielson miss the final round with a wrist injury.
"We played well despite losing Sabrina to a wrist injury," head coach John Bermel said. "It was our first tournament of the spring, and we'll be all right. We'll just need to dig a little deeper now with Sabrina likely to miss some time."
Bonner carded the low score of the tournament for the Panthers with a 249 on rounds of 81, 82 and 86. Ann Arnason finished in a tie for 49th with a score of 258, while Kim Weber and Heather Frye tied for 56th with identical scores of 260.
UNI will be back in action March 23-24 at the Butler Spring Invite in Avon, Ind.
