
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Northern Iowa men's golfers closed with a respectable final round, yet had to settle for an eighth-place finish at the Missouri Valley Conference tournament Tuesday.
Tyler Johnson and Troy Hoffman served as UNI's main highlight-producers, finishing 10th and 11th, respectively.
Johnson fired a final round 69.
The Panthers shot 299 as a team Tuesday, equalling their finest round of the event.
Wichita State, led by medalist Dustin Garza, won the team title.
