Series: UNI is seeking its first win against the Hawkeyes, who are 6-0 in the series.
Last time out: On a two-game road swing last wekend, the Panthers played to their second straight double-overtime tie, 1-1 against Western Illinois, before falling to Eastern Illnois, 2-0.
Notes: With four goals, eight points and 21 shots for the season, junior midfielder Chelsie Hochstedler not only leads UNI's offense, but also ranks in the Missouri Valley Conference's top five in each category. … Iowa began its in-state rivalry weekend with its fourth straight win, 2-0 over Iowa State Friday. Keli McLaughlin and Alex Seydel scored goals for the Hawkeyes, while goalie Emily Moran recorded her fourth shutout of the season. … Sophomore Panther keeper Lauren Potzman is off to a solid start with 39 saves and two shutouts so far this year. … Iowa shut the Panthers out 2-0 in 2008. UNI's best upset opportunity in the series came in a 1-0 loss in 2002. … Panther midfielder Kala Negus and Iowa midfielder Kelsey Sandon graduated with the same class at Urbandale High School. UNI defender Missy Journot will be facing three former Cedar Rapids Kennedy teammates in Iowa freshmen Jade Grimm, Katherine Lewis and Rachel Spellerberg.
