
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Troy Hoffman shot a 153 over 36 holes to lead Northern Iowa at Missouri Valley Conference golf championships at the Dalhousie Country Club.
Hoffman stands in 12th place, nine shots back of leader Dustin Garza of Wichita State.
The Shockers lead the team race by 13 strokes over Illinois State. The Panthers are in ninth place - nine strokes behind Bradley and Creighton, which are tied for seventh.
UNI shot a 327 during its opening round, but was 16 shots better in the afternoon.
The final 18 holes are today.
