EUGENE, Ore. - Northern Iowa senior Tyler Mulder advanced to the semifinal round in the 800 meter run Thursday at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Orange City native Mulder, who finished third in the 800 at the 2009 NCAA outdoor championships and won a national title in the event at the 2008 NCAA indoors, clocked in at 1 minute, 48.17 seconds Thursday.

Panther senior Terrance Reid just missed the semifinals in the 400, finishing in 49.96.

Mat Clark, also a UNI senior, sits in 11th place through the first five events of the men's decathlon.
