ARLINGTON - Union High edged a pair of Northeast Iowa rivals for the Class 2A/3A team title at Tuesday's Starmont Invitational cross country meet.

The Knights finished with 35 points to outdistance Denver-Tripoli and Hudson, which finished at 65 and 66, respectively. Wapsie Valley standout Katy Moen was the individual winner in 15:29 with Hudson's Holly Halstead :20 behind.

Waterloo Columbus didn't qualify for a team score, but was led by Lynn Luecke's 34th place time of 17:24.

In the boys' 2A/3A race, Denver-Tripoli was third, Hudson fifth and Union sixth. Waterloo Columbus placed ninth.
