CEDAR RAPIDS - Waterloo Columbus ran into some rugged competition as the Sailors went winless in three matches at the Cedar Rapids Kennedy Invitational Saturday.
Rachael Schaefer led Columbus with 14 kills and 15 digs while Ashley Sinnott added 13 kills and 12 digs.
"We did a lot of experimenting this weekend with new lineups, which kind of took us out of system a lot," said Sailors coach Kenny Frost. "The scores reflected that inexperience, but overall we're not playing very aggressive right now."
The host Cougars won the tournament with a 19-25, 25-23, 15-10 victory over Iowa City West in the finals.
