ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Aaron Saeugling helped Wartburg College's baseball season live another day.

The senior right-hander pitched a complete game, four-hitter Thursday afternoon to propel the Knights past Webster University (Mo.) 2-0 at the NCAA Division III regional tournament.

Wartburg, coming off a one-run loss to Augustana (Ill.) in the opener Wednesday, will play Linfield (Ore.) at 3:30 p.m. today in an elimination contest.

In a game that lasted just 1 hour and 39 minutes, Saeugling struck out six and walked none to up his mark to 6-0. He didn't surrender a hit between the second and sixth innings.

Meanwhile, the offense generated only five hits, but it was enough to plate a run in the second and another in the third. Kyle Jones was 2-for-3 with a run scored, while Mike Johnson and A.J. Lewis had run-scoring hits.

Augustana is the only unbeaten team remaining in the six-team regional. Wartburg, Webster, Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Linfield each have one loss, and two of those clubs will be eliminated today.

Top-seeded Illinois Wesleyan was ousted Thursday by Linfield.
