LaCROSSE, Wis. - The Waterloo Bucks' seventh straight loss ended with a bang Saturday as La Crosse walked off with an 11-10 win on Chris Engell's two-out, three-run homer.

Engell's bomb off Zach Cooper (2-2) capped a wild conclusion that saw the Bucks surrender five runs in the eighth, score seven in the top of the ninth, then give up five more in the bottom of the ninth.

Kevin Wager stroked a two-run single and Michael Giller launched a two-run shot for his fourth homer of the year in a seven-run rally that put the Bucks up 10-6 in the top of the ninth inning.

Cooper couldn't close the door in the bottom half of the inning, though, walking the bases loaded and giving up a wild pitch and an RBI single before Engell's homer.

The Bucks and Loggers each collected 13 hits. Waterloo's Frazier Hall drove in three runs and went 2-for-3, including a solo home run that put the Bucks up 3-1 in the seventh inning.

Giller went 1-for-5 for the second straight night and saw his lead in the Northwoods League batting race trimmed to two percentage points.

Now 14-19, the Bucks travel to Eau Claire for a 6:05 p.m. game today, and will finish their season with a 6:35 p.m. game at Eau Claire Monday.
