
FINDLAY, Ohio - Rachael Schmidt's 15th-place performance led Upper Iowa to an eighth-place team showing in the Peacocks' first-ever trip to the NCAA Division II women's golf championship.
Schmidt came in with a final round of 78 Saturday to finish tied for 15th with a four-round score of 313. Her twin sister, Rochelle Schmidt, finished tied for 35th at 323.
The Peacocks finished the day where they entered, in eighth place, with a final-round score of 331 for a 1,303 total in chilly, windy conditions at Findlay Country Club.
