CEDAR RAPIDS - The Knights captured the Iowa Conference baseball title Saturday but needed two games.
Loras took the first game against the Knights, 4-2, by scoring two runs in the ninth inning.
Wartburg responded in the nightcap by pounding Loras, 10-2.
The Knights managed 13 hits and ripped open a close game with four runs in the seventh and four more in the eighth.
Six Wartburg players came through in the clutch for Wartburg, getting two-out hits and keeping rallies going for the Knights. Jerrold Martijn, Zach Nagle, Aaron Saeugling, Mike Johnson, A.J. Lewis, and Scott Mangin all had two-out hits.
Martijn went the distance for the Knights and struck out eight.
