TEMPE, Ariz. - Three major decisions and a technical fall led Iowa State to a 32-3 victory over Arizona State Sunday.
David Zabriskie (Hwt.), Mitch Mueller (149) and Cyler Sanderson (157) all recorded major decisions, while David Bertolino scored his technical fall over Thor More with just three seconds left in their match.
"I thought we wrestled real well today," said Cyclone coach Cael Sanderson. "I am happy with the way things are going, and we are making progress."
It was the fourth straight victory over the Sun Devils for the Cyclones, who lead the all-time series 21-6.
Iowa State registered 35 takedowns to Arizona State's one.

IOWA 30, BOISE STATE 9 - At Boise, Id., top-ranked Iowa won its 11th striaght dual, winning eight of 10 bouts, including three bonus wins.
The Hawkeyes (18-1) got a technical fall from Charlie Falck at 125, a major decision from Dan LeClere at 141 and a pin from Brent Metcalf at 149.
Metcalf pinned Cody Bender in just two minutes and one second. It was Metcalf's ninth pin.
"Our guys need to be ready to go and be strong out there," said Iowa coach Tom Brands. "I don't think we've wrestled our best yet as a team, so we've got work to do. Even though we weren't hitting on all cylinders and looked sloppy at times, we won some close matches."
The loss snapped Boise State's nine-match win streak.
Iowa hosts Indiana Friday and Michigan Sunday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

ST. CLOUD STATE 27, UPPER IOWA 12 - At St. Cloud, Minn., the ninth-ranked Peacocks won just three matches against the 11th-ranked Huskies.
Second-ranked Tyler Mumbulo scored in the first 15 seconds en route to a 7-0 win at 125 over Westy Hanson, while Sean Washington caught Tom Anderson in roll to record a pin in 1:01 at 165.
UIU was also victorioius at heavyweight where Dan Goodson beat Chris Schiewe 2-1 in three overtimes.
