NORTHFIELD, Minn. - A year later, Janet Dobyns ran with the big dogs.

Dobyns, a junior from Luther, ran with the leading pack and finished fifth in the women's 6-kilometer race at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships hosted Saturday by St. Olaf. Dobyns was 23rd at nationals a year ago. Her finish Saturday helped the Norse women place 10th in the team standings. The Luther men were eighth as a team and followed the lead of Matthew Busche and David McKay, who finished 26th and 27th, respectively.

Wartburg was 19th in the women's race and 25th in the men's race. Andy Hodge led the Knights with a 30th-place finish in the men's 8K race.
