WAYZATA, Minn. - Kyle Bermel and Andy Wass shot 8-over par 224s to tie for 30th place individually and lead the University of Northern Iowa at the Gopher Invitational at Spring Hill Golf Club.
The Panthers finished 12th as a team, 55 shots behind winner SMU. Iowa was fifth, 23 strokes back.

Panther women in 10th place
LINCOLN, Neb. - Northern Iowa's women stood in a 10th-place tie as the second and final round of the Chip-N Club Invitational golf tournament began today.
The Panthers tallied a 36-hole total of 631 Monday. Individually, Brittany Atterbury and Blair Bonner each shot 158 to lead UNI.
Missouri held the day-one lead at 590.
