Bucks stay in chase, 7-6

LACROSSE, Wis. -- The resilient Waterloo Bucks found another way to win Saturday night as they remained in the hunt for a Northwoods League playoff berth with a 7-6 victory over LaCrosse.

Waterloo (14-12) swept the two-game set with the Loggers and trail South Division leader Wisconsin by 1 1/2 games as the season winds down. The Bucks have today off before opening a two-game series against LaCrosse Monday at Riverfront Stadium.

Saturday, Steven Irvine, James Jones, Zach Jones, Will Campbell and Taylor Lang all had two hits, including a two-run, fifth-inning home run by Irvine.

Campbell contributed an RBI double while Zach Jones, Lang and James Jones also drove in runs as Waterloo wiped out an earlyl 3-0 deficit by scoring seven times in the fourth through eighth innings.
