Pete Weber and a cast of friends are set to arrive in Waterloo this weekend.
Starting Friday, Maple Lanes will host a midwest regional pro bowling tournament with $12,500 in prize money on the line. A pro-am event also will be held Friday, during which local players can play toil alongside several bowling greats.
Pros expected to be on hand are Weber, Sean Rash, Jeff Carter, Steve Jaros and Waterloo native Shannon Buchan.
Weber owns 52 PBA perfect games and has earned $3.1 million professionally.
Rash owns three PBA Tour titles, Carter holds the United States Bowling Congress' record for highest league average (261.74) and Jaros has won 35 PBA Regional Tour events.
The pro event gets under way Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and admission is free.
