Cedar Falls goalkeeper Alex Clopton highlights a handful of Northeast Iowans to earn second-team all-state honors as voted on by the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association.

Clopton was a key component of a defense that helped carry the Tigers into this year's state tournament. In the first round at state, he made 19 saves and held top-seeded Ankeny to one goal.

In Class 1A, NU High's Jordan Lankford capped his senior season with second-team all-state honors. Waverly-Shell Rock teammates Jordan Broghammer and Kyle Sprain were second-team all-staters in Class 2A, along with Brandon Guenther, who helped lead Hudson to a third-place finish in its first-ever state tournament appearance.

Class 3A
