WAVERLY - The Wartburg College women's basketball team held off a second-half charge from Albion College to take home the Wartburg Holiday Tournament title, 67-62, Sunday.
Samantha Harrington led the way for the Knights with 22 points and five rebounds. Harrington turned in a 4-of-5 performance from 3-point range, and knocked down 6-of-7 from the free throw line.
Wartburg's Sharese Van Sloten finished with 13 rebounds and eight points, and was named the tournament MVP. Harrington and Elizabeth Campbell were also named to the all-tournament team for the Knights.

Luther men fall, 54-53
IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas handed Luther its second defeat in two days, a 54-53 setback.
Austin Bildstein shot 8-of-10 from the field and led Luther with 17 points. Jake Waddle and Dan Borchers each had 11 points.
Dallas had four players in double-digit scoring, led by Michael Ricketts' 14 points. Joe Packard had 13, Jeff Pritchard had 12 and Nick Netsch added 11.
Luther returns home on Jan. 5 to take on Buena Vista.
