
COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Northern Iowa women's basketball team dug itself an early hole it could never escape from Sunday as the Panthers dropped a 74-57 contest at Missouri.
The host Tigers (1-0) bolted to a 41-16 halftime advantage and strolled to victory backed by Amanda Hanneman's 26 points and six 3-pointers.
The Panthers (0-2) shot just 23.1 percent in the first 20 minutes and finished with 21 turnovers.
UNI outscored the Tigers, 41-33, in the second half.
