RICK LOVELACE

TUCSON, Ariz. - My name is Rick Lovelace. I am a federal law enforcement officer with more than 26 years of combined local and federal law enforcement experience. From September 1999 to April 2005 I supervised Dennis Kubik. Dennis was assigned as a Tucson Police Department officer to a federal task force in southeast Arizona. During my association with Dennis I found him to be a man of the highest integrity. His honesty and dedication were second to none. I found Dennis to be highly knowledgeable in all aspects of law enforcement, keeping abreast of new trends and changes in law and enforcement techniques. Dennis was our go-to man for search and seizure questions. His reputation and professional demeanor in dealing with other law enforcement agencies, county attorneys and judges proved invaluable on countless occasions. In a dedication in a book I gave to him when he moved back to Iowa, I called him a great cop. That was and is a true statement. As yet, I have met none better. I recommend Dennis Kubik for sheriff of Black Hawk County.
