CHARLES CITY -- Highlights of the Floyd County Fair include a demolition derby, a truck and tractor pull and special activities for all ages.
The annual event kicks off Wednesday, and opening night will feature the county fair queen contest. Cash prizes will be available in the Guitar Hero contest, which is open those 13 and older.
On Thursday, events include activities for senior citizens and a concert by Kid Fiddlers, five children ranging 6 to 17 years old from Salt Lake City.
Cost at the gate will be $15. Tickets are $5 for 4-H and FFA exhibitors.
