TRAER - A Tama County farmer died Monday from injuries sustained in a farm accident.

Frank Sebetka, 81, of Traer, was cutting hay when family members believe the mower conditioner became clogged, his wife Euna Sebetka said.

He had shut down the tractor and put the brake on before he climbed down to remove the blockage, she said. Somehow, the equipment ran over him. One of Sebetka's sons, who was on his way to help his father, found him lying in the field.

Sebetka said Frank Sebetka was talking when his son found him. He died shortly after arriving at Covenant Medical Center Monday night.
