GRUNDY CENTER - The Barn Quilts of Grundy County and Alliant Energy teamed up recently to install 10 quilt blocks on buildings in the area.
The oversized panels are:

"Rolling Pin," 17309 190th St., Wellsburg
"Independence Day," 11919 L Ave., Holland
"Jack in the Pulpit," 20601 205th St., Holland
"Morning," 17752 205th St., Holland
"Shoemaker's Puzzle," 22033 M Ave., Grundy Center
"Garden Gazebo," 23308 K Ave., Grundy Center
"Mill Wheel," 20031 290th St., Beaman
"Firewheel," 30309 215th St., Reinbeck
"Mosaic Patch," 29514 Diagonal Road., Reinbeck
Two additional blocks must still be mounted, bringing the total number of blocks added in 2008 in Grundy County to 14. A calendar for 2009 will include pictures of each.

Barn Quilts of Grundy County will also be an exhibitor at the Iowa State Fair.
Representatives from the organization will be in the Varied Industries Building from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 10.
