NEW HAMPTON (AP) - The trial for a man accused of killing his infant daughter will be delayed.

Randy Blanchard of Nashua is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his 12-day-old daughter, who died in February.

His trial was set to begin next week.

Instead, a judge rescheduled proceedings to start Dec. 8 in Chickasaw County District Court.

Authorities allege Blanchard shook his daughter, causing injuries Feb. 5.

She was taken to the hospital and died several days later.
