NEW HAMPTON -- Two men were arrested for allegedly vandalizing multiple properties.
Nathan Cain, 19, and Joshua Slick, 19, both of New Hampton, were charged with second-degree criminal mischief. The charges stem from a June 24 incident. Cain and Slick reportedly spray painted property at Mikkelson Park, Design Gallery, NAPA Auto Parts and two school buses, according to New Hampton police.
The investigation also led authorities to refer a 15-year-old to Juvenile Court Services.
Cain is being held at the Chickasaw County Jail on a $9,750 bond. Slick was released on bond.
Second-degree criminal mischief is a class D felony. The crime is defined as damaging, altering or destroying property in which restorative or replacement costs exceed $1,000 but is less than $10,000. A class D felony is punishable by up to five years of incarceration and fines.
