DYSART - A farmer well-known in rural Benton and Tama counties died Monday, a victim of an apparent accident.

Marlyn Rieck, 62, was found at his home east of Dysart underneath a tractor, according to preliminary reports.

Rieck previously also operated a salvage yard east of Dysart with his late father, Eldo.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.

Overton Funeral Home in Dysart is handling funeral arrangements.
