OSAGE - A 21-year-old man was injured Wednesday night after a pickup struck the tractor he was driving.
Jeffrey Holt of Lake Mills was on a John Deere 3010 on Iowa Highway 9 one mile west of Osage.
The truck, driven by Bruce Biederman, 59, of rural Osage, hit the tractor from behind at about 10:20 p.m., according to the Mitchell County Sheriff's Department.
Holt was thrown from his seat and then pinned under the tractor's front wheels, according to the sheriff's office. He was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa. He was listed in fair condition Thursday.
Biederman was not injured. The accident is under investigation
The Osage police and fire departments and Osage Ambulance assisted at the scene.
