CEDAR RAPIDS (AP) - Trial is scheduled for Feb. 4 for a man charged in an accident that killed his passenger.
Michael Hook, 24, of Vinton, is charged with vehicular homicide while intoxicated. Matthew D. Boyles, 21, of Urbana, died after he was thrown from Hook's vehicle on Sept. 7.
Court records show that Hook's blood-alcohol level was 0.206 percent at the time of the accident. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.
If convicted, Hook could face up to 25 years prison.
