Ethnic Festival returns to Luther College

DECORAH -- The Luther Diversity Center will present the 25th annual Ethnic Arts Festival in March.

The theme is Feel the Rhythm, Treasure the Memories.

Presentations, programs and displays from 1 to 4 p.m. March 8 will showcase the college's international students, faculty and staff and community members in the Center for Faith and the Arts.

The festival is designed as an educational activity for families with children, and activities, exhibits and entertainment will be suitable for people of all ages.

The festival dinner will follow from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in Dahl Centennial Union. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children more than 5 years old. To reserve tickets, call the Diversity Center at (563)-387-1486.

Entertainment will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for Faith and Life. The performances are free and open to the public.

The festival coincides with the first Luther College International Alumni Reunion, and campus tours will be available from 10 a.m. to noon. Tours will start at Centennial Union, followed by a luncheon.

A reception for alumni will begin at 9 p.m. at the Oaks Steakhouse in Bluffs Inn in Decorah. Brunch will be available at 11 a.m. March 9 at the Hotel Winneshiek. Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children more than 5 years old.
