GUTTENBERG (AP) -- Clayton County authorities say they have arrested a Guttenberg resident wanted for allegedly shooting at a police officer.
Officials say Michael Billingsley, 23, was taken into custody Thursday at a relative's home near Guttenberg. He is charged with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, intimidation with a dangerous weapon and reckless use of a firearm.
Authorities had searched for Billingsley for more than a week. Officials say an anonymous tip led to the arrest.
Billingsley is accused of firing at a police officer with a rifle when the officer responded Oct. 7 to a report of a person shooting at cars and a home in rural Guttenberg.
He is being held in the Clayton County Jail under $50,000 bond.
