JANESVILLE - A Waverly man is in serious condition following a three-vehicle accident Thursday morning on Highway 218.
Lester Franzen, 43, was airlifted to Covenant Medical Center after being hit on his Kawasaki motorcycle by a car at the intersection with County Road C50 near Janesville, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The accident occurred at 8:50 a.m. Andrea Cray, 20, of Lime Springs, was stopped in the median area of Highway 218 attempting to cross the road when she pulled out into traffic and struck Franzen.
Cray then hit a Ford F-250 truck driven by Timothy Swope, 37, of Waterloo, stopped on the west side of the road. Cray was injured, but declined treatment.
