NEW HAMPTON - Beginning Wednesday, access from 300th Street to U.S. Highway 63 from the east in Chickasaw County will close.

The temporary shut-down is necessary to allow a contractor to place subbase material and concrete pavement for future northbound lanes.

Weather permitting, officials expect the closure to be in effect for 10 days.

Also, Wednesday, 290th Street will reopen, allowing access onto U.S. 63.
