CLERMONT -- Heritage Farm Park will hold its ninth annual Cornfest on Sept. 20-21 in conjunction with the Minnesota and Iowa draft horse plowing competition.
The festival will feature exhibits and activities, ranging from demonstrations on filling silos to a corn picking contest if the crop is ready. Events for children including train rides and a water slide.
Cornfest will open with breakfast at 7 a.m. Sept. 20 followed by the horse plowing contest. Admission is $5 for anyone more than 12 years old.
Heritage Farm Park also offers a German-style farmhouse and barn; caboose and rural schoolhouse. Wagon rides through the woods will also be available, and the park has more than four miles of trails and a pond for fishing.
Visitors can stay in the campground, honeymoon cottage or log cabin. The campground can accommodate horse riders.
