WASHINGTON, D.C. - Iowa Congressman Tom Latham has announced a Decorah Congressional nursing roundtable to be held 3 to 4 p.m. Friday in Room 201 FW of Olin Hall, 700 College Drive, on the campus of Luther College in Decorah.
The roundtable is an opportunity for Latham to gather insight and comments from Iowa's nursing and health care community to address the growing nursing crisis. Iowa is currently facing a severe nursing shortage; according to the Iowa Department of Public Health, Iowa is currently dealing with an 8 percent shortage of nurses, which could grow into a 27 percent shortage if nothing is done to address the issue.
