WATERLOO -- Red-carpet glamour, slinky form-fitting dresses, belle-of-the-ball gowns and elegant tuxedos will be among the latest trends at the Prom Event.

Hosted by Courier Communications, the event will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Elks Lodge 290.

Sponsors are Dan Deery Scion, Special Occasions Party and Event Rental and Elks Lodge.

There will be a fashion show, free food, games and prizes, which include a $250 Hy-Vee gas card.

Admission tickets are $3 and can be purchased at the door. High school students and their parents may attend.
