WATERLOO -- The American Red Cross Hawkeye Chapter will sponsor "Red Cross Remembers: World War II," featuring The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra on Oct. 10 at the Elks Lodge, 407 E. Park Ave.

More than 350 guests will enjoy a unique atmosphere showcasing the American Red Cross and its service during World War II. The evening will include dinner, dancing and live and silent auctions. Vintage attire is welcomed.

All proceeds from the event will benefit local Red Cross programs such as disaster relief, health and safety education and services to the armed forces.
