CEDAR FALLS - An 83-year-old man riding a bicycle has died from injuries suffered when he was struck by a car Tuesday in Cedar Falls.
The male was not identified pending notification of family.
Police said the accident occurred about 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of Cedar Heights Drive and Orchard Drive.
Witnesses told police that the victim was crossing Cedar Heights Drive westbound on his bicycle and was struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver's name was not released.
The man was transported to Sartori Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later transported to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, where he died, police said.
The accident remains under investigation by Cedar Falls Police. Police said they thought they would release the names of those involved later today.
