All-State music participants named

A number of students from Northeast Iowa were chosen to perform in the All-State Music Festival during auditions Oct. 25.

The festival will take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22 in Hilton Coliseum, at Iowa State University.

Cedar Falls orchestra members Hannah Howland, Riley Martin, Vanessa Horstman, Amelia Sutton and Erik Olsen (Holmes Junior High) for violin; Elizabeth Bailey (Holmes) for viola; Olivia Hahn and Francisco Villavicencio for cello; and Jakob Stoner for bass. Choir members Ali Stoddard, Alice Miller, Natalie Takes and Ashley Mason for soprano; Catherine Dunbar, Samantha Takes and Ebony Kunkle for alto; Sam Lilja, Joe Fagersten and Dan Veenstra for tenor; Ben Ulfers, Chris Bowden, Ben Fagersten, Mason Meyer and Rhys Talbot for bass. New Hampton band member Kaylee Becker for cornet; choir member Sarah Burgart for alto.

Union band members Emily Snyder for French horn and Haley Peters for euphonium; choir members Megan Burnside for soprano; Tiffany Hach, Erica Barz and Lauren Powell for alto; TJ Gray for tenor; and Michael Wauters for bass.

Waverly-Shell Rock choir members Megan Kirkpatrick, Janelle Merkel and Tarryn Gritzner for soprano; Abbie Steere and Mia Purnell for alto; Nathan Brown, Nolan Baker and Kirk Lehmannfor tenor; Nathan Bleadorn, Anders Larson, Sam Dorrance, Samuel Epley and Drew Mick for bass; orchestra member Daniel Meyers for string bass.

Iowa Public Television will record the concert for re-broadcast tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 27 and 5 p.m. Nov. 30.
