GRUNDY CENTER - A real estate firm based in Iowa intends to construct a one-story, 14,000-square-foot medical office building adjacent to Grundy County Memorial Hospital.
LADCO Development of West Des Moines is scheduled to begin in May with completion expected in summer 2010.
According to the company, the $3 million facility will provide a convenient setting for additional health specialties and outpatient services that will complement those available at the hospital.
Tenants will be announced soon.
LADCO Development was selected from nine proposals submitted by various firms, and the company will develop, own and manage the building.
"Grundy County Memorial Hospital is committed to serving the community with outstanding medical services, and LADCO Development is proud to be a part of their growing campus," said Jon Garnaas, LADCO Development's president and CEO, in a prepared statement.
