CHARLES CITY - If 92-year-old Harold Martin has seen it all, he doesn't mind seeing some of it again.

At least he didn't Sunday, as he stood and watched a parade of old farm vehicles drive by at the Cedar Valley Engine Club's 44th annual Thresher's Reunion.

He used his cane to point out different features, as the machinery slowly made its way by an admiring crowd.

"That there's an old corn picker," he said pointing to one.

"They don't make much racket, do they?" he said as a steam engine went by.

"Some do," he added, as second one roared past.

Martin said he doesn't come to the reunion every year, but this year was special.

"It's an International year," he said.

Featured vehicles this year were old International Harvester products.

"My first one was an F-20 International in 1937. I remember, we had a lot to plow that year."

He remembered even earlier years when he farmed without anything with a motor.

"I plowed a lot of ground with five horses," he said.

Back in the days when he got behind the wheel, Martin farmed 500 to 600 acres of corn and beans with his son.

"We had a Super M. Bought it brand new in 1954. I still have it," he said.

The reunion featured a tractor pull, children's pedal pull, food and live entertainment.

A flea market and swap meet went on all weekend and concluded Monday.
