Teenager injured in stabbing waiting for bus at school

MASON CITY - A Mason City teen was treated and released from Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa after being stabbed while waiting for the bus at the Mason City High School around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Scott Stricker, 15, suffered a minor stab wound after being stabbed by a small knife, according to the Mason City Police Department.

Devin Michael Flores, 15, Mason City, has been charged with aggravated assault, a misdemeanor, in the incident.

Flores was released to his parents Tuesday night.

Both teens are Mason City High School students.

The incident remains under investigation by the Mason City Police Department.
