Big Fishing Derby

Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Location: Meyers Lake, Evansdale

Details: Children 5 to 16 who catch the first 500 fish will win a prize and be entered in the grand prize drawing for a Nintendo Wii. Participants should bring their own fishing pole. Proceeds go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa.

Admission: $2 for competitors in that age group. Adults and children 5 and under free.
