Here is today's forecast: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Windy, with a north northwest wind 11 to 14 mph increasing to between 19 and 22 mph. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 42. Breezy, with a north northwest wind between 6 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
What's going on today in the Cedar Valley:
--I-Renew Energy & Sustainability Expo 2008 continues today at the Center for Energy & Environmental Education at UNI from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. More than 80 exhibitors and demonstrations and 70 workshops are taking place. For more information, go to www.IRenew.org. Admission $10.
-- UNI soccer will play IUPUI at noon today at the Cedar Valley Youth Soccer Complex on Ridgeway Avenue in Waterloo.
-- Weather permitting, there is a youth fishing derby from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Izaak Walton League, 5519 E. Washburn Road. It is for youth ages 12 and under. Participants must bring their own fishing equipment, but worms will be provided.
-- The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestry Chamber Music Concert will be 2 p.m. at the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, Cedar Falls. Admission is $12. For more information, call 273-4849 or visit www.wcfsymphony.org.
-- Public ice skating will be 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Young Arena in downtown Waterloo. The cost is $3 with a $3 skate rental fee.
-- Weather permitting, there is a UNI softball scrimmage at 5 p.m. at Robinson-Dresser Sports Complex in Cedar Falls.
