DES MOINES (AP) - Olympic gold medalist and Iowa native Shawn Johnson has joined hundreds of other athletes on a visit to the White House.
KCCI-TV in Des Moines reports that the visit took place on Tuesday, and that President Bush said attending the Beijing Olympics this summer was one of the greatest experiences of his lifetime.
Johnson, who's only spent about three days at home in West Des Moines since returning from China, says she was happy to be hanging out with other athletes again. She says it was like a reunion.
