COGGON (AP) - A Coggon man is under arrest on charges he killed a 2-year-old child.

Police have charged Lee Muldoon with first degree murder and child endangerment causing death. Muldoon is accused of killing Skylar Kristine Inman, the daughter of a woman he lived with.

Police responded to a call on July 11 of an unresponsive, non-breathing child. The child was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, but died from her injuries.

Muldoon has been taken to Jones County Jail where he is awaiting a court appearance. He is being held without bond.

The Iowa State Medical Examiner's Office is assisting the Linn County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
