NASHVILLE, Tenn. - An Iowa woman has made it to the final four of the country music reality -TV show "Nashville Star."

Shawn Mayer, 21, a native of May City, a small town southwest of Lake Okoboji, was one of two women in the bottom two of the final five on the NBC show. But at the end of the show, she was selected to move on. She now lives in Madison, Tenn.

Mayer and the show's camera crew are now reportedly headed to Iowa for a concert at 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Des Moines Register. The story says several other events are also planned, such as an autograph session in Spencer and a radio interview.

The show airs on Mondays at 8 p.m.
