LA PORTE CITY - Two men have been arrested for providing methamphetamine to a 14-year-old girl.
The arrests of Eugene Joseph Youngblut, 38, and Michael Lee Francisco, 22, come days after officers with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force raided Youngblut's home at 12234 Carr Road, La Porte City.
Black Hawk sheriff's deputies arrested Youngblut and Francisco, of 1118 Patrick Court, Waterloo, for distribution of methamphetamine to a minor.
Youngblut was arrested Monday.
Francisco, who was taken into custody Tuesday, also was arrested for third-degree sexual abuse for allegedly having sexual relations with the girl while she was under the influence of meth and while she was sober between January and March in a La Porte City address, records state.
Court records allege Youngblut provided meth to the juvenile on numerous occasions in April and May, and Francisco provided drugs between January and March. Both allegedly provided smoking materials she used to consume the meth, records state.
Both men have other criminal charges pending in court.
Youngblut was arrested Thursday for conspiracy to manufacture meth and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute Thursday after Task Force officers found items to make the meth near his home. They located ether, anhydrous ammonia plastic tubing and other items to manufacture meth in outbuildings, records state.
In his home, they found more than 42 grams of marijuana, records state.
Francisco was first arrested Monday for conspiracy to distribute meth. The charge stems from a Task Force investigation that started when he was found at 309 Williston Ave., Waterloo, with meth.
