Waterloo police investigate stabbing

WATERLOO - One man was injured and another was taken into custody after a stabbing on Baltimore Street Sunday morning.

Police said they responded at 5:57 a.m. to a suspicious call at 406 Baltimore St. They located Brandon Jarod Gray, 24, and Brian Michael O'Connell, 19, in the yard outside the residence.

Officers determined that Gray had sustained multiple injuries, which were consistent with being stabbed.

The suspect was Brian O'Connell, who was taken into custody for one count of willful injury, a Class C felony. No bond was set, pending an appearance in court.

Gray was taken to Covenant Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
