Waterloo police investigate home invasion robbery

WATERLOO - Waterloo police are looking for two males that forced their way into an apartment Thursday afternoon and robbed and assaulted the occupants.

The incident occurred in broad daylight about 4:40 p.m. at 6237 Donegal Circle, Apt. D.

Investigating officers said that two males - described as black and wearing dark clothing - forced entry into the apartment. They were armed with handguns and assaulted the two residents that were present, police said.

The suspects took a quantity of money and property from the apartment and fled, police said.

Both residents received non-life threatening injuries and were treated and released from local hospitals, police report.

No arrests were immediately made.
